Trip to Canada

Have you been to Canada? I go there every year to visit my grandparents. They live in Nanaimo, B.C. B.C. stands for British Colombia. When I go to visit them it usually takes between 4-7 hours to go from my house, across the border, and go to our first hotel. After we check-in at the first hotel, we look to see if there’s a pool (because my sister likes pools)

A few days later we hop on a ferry and go to Victoria. You absolutely have to take a ferry to Victoria because if you try to get there by car, your car will sink in the ocean.

When we get to Victoria, we drive around and go to some places (unless it is almost 6:00 p.m.) before we go to our final hotel. Finally, after a few more days, we go to my grandparent’s house.

We are usually the first to arrive at my grandparent’s house. We say hi and go to the room we stay in and put our luggage away. After we un-pack, we usually have to wait a day or two until the rest of my family starts to arrive. We play games like hot potato with water inside, hula hoops, and tag. At the barbeques we eat hot dogs, hamburgers, fruit, and vegetables. It is so much fun until we have to leave. Then we pretty much do the same thing we did before we get to Nanaimo, except we don’t stay in any more hotels because we look at everything we want to look at before we get to Nanaimo. When we get back home it’s back to normal. Can’t wait until next year!

My Birthday Party

“Two more days” I said to my self, it was the 12th of December. I couldn’t wait till my birthday. I was so glad because that was going to be my first birthday party because I couldn’t have birthday last year because the electricity went out so how can I have a birthday anyway? I was so exited!

Then, when I asked my mom if I can have a birthday party she just said,” Remember last year when the electricity went out and….” Blah, blah, blah. I was very, very mad and sad.

When it was the day of my Birthday, I was very sad because I might not have a birthday party. I said to my self,” All the members of my family already had a birthday party and I’m the only one not to have a birthday party that was not fair”

Then my mom said, Alina get ready, we are going to the store” I said,” why?” she said, Remember, you are having a birthday party!” I was shocked. Finally, I am going to have a birthday party. I thanked my mom and we went to the store, my birthday colors were yellow and well, and all kinds of colors! My birthday party was great! I had so much presents from my friends and got $30.00 from my uncles. That was the best first birthday party ever!

MY SOLO

I go on stage with the other soloists Alina, Kristyn, and I. Everyone said their line I have the mike and I hear the music.

It was our play “The American Dream.” I play William Penn [leader of the Quakers]. I was chosen to say a line and sing about 4 sentences in the song “Moving on out” I mean I just love to sing but, I get really nervous. I got to sing twice because we had 1 performance at school and 1 in the night were our parents see. At night Alina didn’t come so I had to sing her part and I was really, really, really nervous because I barely knew Alinas part. Once I sing both parts and take the high note at the end I go back to my seat all I think is “WHOOOO, I DIDN’T MESS UP YEAH!!!” After I was done yelling in my head I got some feedback from my friends and they said,”I did really well!” It made me feel like I succeeded in singing Alina’s part with out messing up.

The happiest thing happened to me was that. I bought a new cute puppy now I have 2 dogs in one dog house it cost me $900 to buy my puppy. I thought the new puppy was poor because he didn’t have a house. My mom said you can’t buy a house!! I was so sad now his in my room living with me. I named him to matt in dog years his 3years old I think… he likes to play with me. If I’m busy and If don’t play with him he get bad and pees on my bad!!! If I’m play my computer he lick the key board!! We get mad at each others all the times but I still love matt I wish he doesn’t pee on my bad

THE LONGEST HIKE IN MY LIFE

The longest hike in my life was 20 miles. Half of it was going up the mountain to a hunting spot that is used because it’s were all the deer hangout! Going down the mountain was hard. Because we didn’t use the trail we went though the woods me and my dad split up. I climbed a little cliff with my bb gun on my back! It was hard going down because we had to climb over stuff. That’s the longest hike in my life!

Puppy
Walking home from the bus stop, I hear barking from my house. Did I get a dog? I get inside my house it was cold outside so it felt very warm and cozy. My dad says, “How was your day”? I say, “It was hard”. Dad says, “Well than I don’t think you want to see it”. Yes I do I say. Than guess my dad replied. Well the first thing I replied is a puppy. A black lab puppy starts coming down the hallway! We got a cute cuddly black lab puppy! I felt I had more responsibility on my shoulders, but felt loved even more. He comes up to me and I pet his soft, silky fur. I asked what is his name? My dad said Tug! My sister gets home from gymnastics and said I want to name him Gauge. Every one agreed Gauge is a better name. His name is now Gauge. My puppy is almost 1 year old. His b-day is January 18th. Now he is Accompanied by our 12 year old black lab Keeper. Gauge is one of our family now. That is my highlight of 2007.

1st place indoor soccer team

Every year I play indoor soccer .I just LOVE the sport. My position is rather left forward or right forward. Before the games I feel nervous. I kick at least 2 goals or more per game. This year my indoor soccer team was the only U11 team to sign up so we had to play against 6th graders. When I go up to try to get a goal I start to smile because everybody is watching me. My indoor soccer team beat all of the other teams! My team is in 1st place! I just love indoor soccer!

The Day I Meet a Football Player.

One day my dad, his friend Mike, his son Braham, and me went to a Seahawks game. Braham is a good friend of mine. The Seahawks played the Oakland Raiders. We were walking around and we saw Warren Moon. I was so surprised because I didn’t know who he was until my dad told me. I have a trading card of him when he played in college he had puffy 80’s hair. When I saw him he was bald. He played for the Huskies in college. It was amazing how tall he was his head would hit the classroom lights he was that tall. On his trading card it said he threw over 10,000 yards I think that is quite an accomplishment. That is one of my highlights of 07.

Snowboarding
It was fun thing to do! I got a snowboard and went to a mountain with a big hill and it took a long time to get up the hill. I finally got up and got on the snowboard and flew down the hill so fast that I went on the jump and flipped and fell in the snow. It was 3 feet deep. I got myself out of the snow. There were half way more to go. I finally got down but my family’s was not there. But I saw them up the hill so I climbed until I got up there. I was too tired to ride it down, so I gave it to my big brother and got the sled and rode down the hill with the sled.

Arizona Wedding Story

I was flying on the plane to AR. With the wind bumping on the plane like CRAZY with my ears popping and popping constantly! I’ve always hated flying in planes. It freaks me out so much.

Finally, we were in AZ. My mom was freaking out when we got there because of her excitement. My Grandma lives there with an AWESOME house. It has a pool, a hot tub, a 20 foot long cactus, 2 crazy funny dogs, lizards everywhere and more cactuses. Me and my step sister Payton were hanging out side. It seemed like 24 hrs a day because of how long we were out there for. We were just playing our D.S under the blanket because of the stupid sun.

Next thing I know I was throwing petals on the side walk way out to the backyard for the wedding. Me and my sister were standing there it seems like forever next to my mom and step dad with everyone starring at us. (The friends the parents and the other friends.)

Then it was over.

We stayed a few more days and left AZ.
I was sad, but happy I had a step dad.

That was my highlight of 2007.

Salmon

It was with out a doubt the biggest fish I had ever caught! I
was so excited when I felt the tug of the fish on my fishing
pole. When I was reeling it in, I felt that this fish was going
to be harder to real in then a little rainbow trout. I was waiting for that moment for 2 hours. When it jumped out of the water, I saw that the fish was huge and it looked awesome. But when I pulled it out of the water, I felt and saw the awesomeness of the fish, what made the salmon awesome is the way the scales glitter in the sun.
When my dad was getting the first picture, I was holding it by the gills and I could barely hold it up and I felt like my fingers were going to rip off! Then we took another one when I was holding it from the belly. That was probably the most funnest fishing trip ever that I have been on. I will remember that time for a long time.
That is my highlight for 2007.

My new puppy

I got a puppy for an early Christmas present. It’s from my grandma Bunnie. So she comes 2or3 days early for Christmas. When I opened it at first, I didn’t know what to say. I was amazed It came with a bed, 2 bowls, (1 for food and 1 for water) 2 dog bones, and some starter food. I named him Theo he’s almost learned how to sit. He’s a mini schnauzer. He’s really nice. But he chews on stuff. He chewed up 3 controllers, and 1 was new! But I still love him.

My big fish

My biggest fish ever was 36 inches. I caught it at the Puyallup River. It was a pink salmon. I caught it in less than 30 seconds. It was my first cast I taught that I wasn’t going to catch any thing but then I felt it. It was a big bite. It was hard to get it in. I fought my way through it. It was vary hard but finely I got it in. I was happy. My grandma was with me. She was kind of mad, because she wanted the bigger fish. I thought it was funny! Then when I got home I cleaned it out. It still had the eggs in it, so it was a female fish.

The Mall

I was walking through the doors of the mall when a salesman just walked right in front of me, my dad, and my sister. We told him we were in a hurry, but he just kept talking and talking about this new thing called Snow. We just kept walking. Finally, we got to Zumiez and went straight for the skateboards. We were just looking. When we finished looking we went to Tilt. While we were at Tilt I played a game called Shoot ‘em’ Up. It was the best game there. When we finished playing at Tilt We walked to Target and stopped on the way there because I spied a little toy wood shop. We looked for a little while and then my dad said, “Let’s go before someone tries to sell us something!” Then we left. Thank goodness!

Sleepy Day

The saddest day was when I had to walk home from Harvard to my house and it was sunny day. It was about 2 miles long. My legs were hurting so that I fell down on the ground dead, but my big brother David, helped me and got to home faster. When we got to the shadows, we stopped and rested with the cold wind. When we started walking again and got home I went to my bed and I went to sleep. And my cat started biting my foot when the blanket was not covering my foot. And then I started bitting him up. Because he wasn’t listening.

My memory story

It was the schools ASB elections, it was my turn to go up, I was so nervous it felt like I was going to explode! It took me a second to find my voice I was so nervous, as soon as I finished my speech I still felt like I was going to explode. After I was back in class I didn’t feel like I was going to explode, but I still felt nervous, not because I thought I was boring with my speech, but because I thought it was too short. I said three sentences for peed sake! The other thing was I had tons of competitors that I thought sounded better and more persuasive than I did.

Only tomorrow would tell, and when it came, I think I might have gotten 7 votes! So as you can tell I didn’t win, it was then I remembered every thing I’d forgotten the day before. I started feeling bad for myself, but then I thought, why should I feel bad for myself when I should feel glad for, and congratulate the winner! I did so and felt great. From then on I’d remember that day when I felt bad for myself.

That was my highlight of 2007!

NEW FRIENDS

On the first day of school, I rode a new bus and it was bus 6. I didn’t realize that three kids that ride the bus were in my class, until a couple weeks later. When I went to class right on the whiteboard it said” Fill out information on a card.” So I did, It was really fun Ms.Allen put it in a cup and pulled/mixed one out and said it out loud. I had the same thing as about the equivalent of 2-3 people. After that we had recess, so at recess I played with some of the kids in my class and while playing people said.” do you want to be my friend?” I said.” Sure.” Next we started being partners and etc. Those partners were Zach, Cruz, Hyun, Harry, A.J, Mike, Max, Tristan, Justin, J.D, and Austin. Next I played with the kids I new from last year 4-square, such as Austin, Anthony, Brandon, and Elijah. Next after about 4-5 min.I played football and at first I missed the ball but I started to improve. Then I was catching the ball so then they started to throw the really hard so I started to disincarnate from my catching abilities because it was literally snowing outside so my hands were freezing cold. Next we had lunch and it was a BBQ sandwich and it chilled my taste buds. I sat with Zach, Harry, Hyun, and J.D. After that we went to recess and I played football again. Next recess was over and we started a book called” Amber.” It was full of amazing detail! Then at 1:40 we went to P.E. I did great in P.E; I was with a partner I’d never been with before. Next we went to computer lab with our backpacks and went to epals and girls had to write to guys, that’s how I got to know a lot of new friends on my first day of school.

The best memory story is, my dog.
One is my dog his name is Bean he likes to eat fresh meat just out of the barbecue but we only give it to him when we make it that is like ones a month and we give him 1or 2 small pieces. I like my dog because he plays with me and if I tell him to bite you he will and if I tell him no bean no he won’t we keep him in a cage and in our garage. I hate to pick his poop and feed him every day. But I still love my dog. Because he is my dog and he plays with me that

California dreamin’

One day me and my family were on a vacation. We were going to a lake in California called lake Shasta. . We were going to stay on a house boat and camp out on the lake! We would have a schedule. We could only tan for two hours and swim for well all day. But I was fishing with my uncle we could do that all day too. All of a sudden my uncle got a bite it was a huge catfish. It was white with long wiggly whiskers. He got it in his hand. But then the catfish stung him with his whiskers on his way to the ice cooler. He was bleeding all over. He almost had to go to the hospital. He is okay now all he has is a scar. But my family was really worried about him, He couldn’t go swimming for a long time.
That night there was a big storm. It was so big that it almost tipped over the houseboat. There was lightning and thunder, I watched it hit the water and make huge ripples. And every time the lightning hit down the water around the bolt turned really light blue. I was really scared because the houseboat was rocking back and forward and I thought it was going to tip over. Well that’s my California dreamin story.

to mike like your story because it was cool that when you flipped and went down in the snow 3 feet did it hurt and did snow get in your get in your clothing and if it did was it cold was the snow dry or wet well i like your story.

Football Miracle

When I wake up in the morning I go outside and see my friends. There names are Austin, James, Damarius, Devon, And Cesar. Then we play crush the carrier. [You tackle the person with the ball.] After that we go into James’s house and play video games for about 10-15 min. Then we go to the park. The park is called Stone creek. Then we go home at about 4:30. That’s how I spend my weekend.

My Crazy Friend

When I was about 4-5 years old I had a really crazy friend. He was crazy because he tried to fly like Ms. Allen tried. One day he was running on the sidewalk when he suddenly tripped over three rocks. Since I was inside and just happened to come out of my house at that time I saw him crying on the sidewalk with bloody knees and hands. I asked if he was okay and he said,”I have bloody knees and bloody hands”! He asked me if I could get his mom. And I said,”Sure”. So I got his mom and I told her and went running to her child. His mom took him to the doctors’ office and they told them that he should go to the hospital and the people at the hospital told them that he had to spend the night there so his mom left him all alone in the hospital. The next morning he came home and we went to my house to watch Tom and Jerry and we also watched Scooby- Doo. Then we went outside to ride our bikes and my second oldest sister came on her bike as fast as she could and I looked back and screamed, “Pedal Faster”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately she caught up with us and she got in front of us and slammed her brakes which meant my friend and I had to slam on our brakes also and we almost flew off our bikes! I told her that I was telling our mom and she said, “ I dare you to”. So I told and she got grounded and we had proof because my oldest sister was reading on the sidewalk. ( She is a bookworm). My friend had freckles like I have and my second oldest sister had red hair but now she has brown hair.
