Hang on, here we go!

I do this every summer. I am so excited for summer to start, then wham! Summer comes to an end. I hope you have had plenty of fun, I did, and I am looking forward to hearing about your adventures! I can hardly wait for us to get started.

This is my second year teaching at Hedden, and as you may know, 5th grade rocks! We are starting off with astronomy and rocket building in science, reading mysteries and science fiction, and becoming speed demons in multiplication to get us ready for spring math relays. (We came in second last year, and Allen’s class will win next spring, I am sure!) Practice those math facts!

Please bring your favorite book to share as we start our Literacy Illuminations blog, and a great book to read as we start the year. Please respond to this blog, and tell us a little about yourself! Look forward to seeing you in person!
